In every issue, a photographer reinterprets MÜHLE products – this time, Berlin-based still life expert Matthias Weingärtner showcases the HEXAGON series.

True Colours

Berlin-based photographer Matthias Weingärtner specializes in still life. His images often appear to capture fleeting moments: swift movements, everyday gestures, and clashing materials are transformed into meticulously arranged works of art. His photography is always a play of light and shadow, form and texture, dimensionality and abstraction. For 30 Grad, Weingärtner has reinterpreted MÜHLE’s HEXAGON series.

Bold by design: The HEXAGON series, created in collaboration with Berlin-based designer Mark Braun, is made to stand out – pictured here, the aluminium safety razor, available in four colours.
Ergonomic, textured, functional – and very green: the HEXAGON shaving brush in Forest.
A tribute to the archetypal shape of tools and writing instruments: the hexagonal design of the series, shown here with the porcelain shaving bowl.

This photo series was first published in the print edition of 30 Grad in spring 2017.
